Out of boredom, I went to a grocery store. With nothing in particular in mind what to buy, I end up wandering, strolling, looking for something.
It took me an hour searching yet ended up with only six items in my cart. Because my foot starts to ache, I decided to heed for the cashier. The cashier was almost done when I realized that I forgot one thing (the most important thing at that he he), my shaving cream! So I asked the cashier if she could hold it for a moment for me to get the shaving cream and include it in my groceries but her reply was a big NO. Of course, with hundreds of people behind me (if ever there was a longest line competition that time, I bet we won haha), there’s really no way she‘ll allow my request, but there’s nothing wrong in trying, right? (hehe)
So, after the bagger packed my groceries I went back and picked the right shaving cream. That’s it, I’m done with my misadventures, or so I thought. If you just have the idea how much that cream cost me. But that’s not just it, because it was expensive and deep inside me I was complaining, after getting the plastic bag, I immediately walked away. But as I was doing so, I kept on hearing somebody shouting “Sir!” Out of curiosity with what’s happening I looked back. To my surprise, it was the cashier. And the one’s being called sir was me! Why? I simply forgot my change. (sign of aging haha!) Well, it was just about a hundred pesos but for a missionary like me a hundred is like a million. (haha!)
I can never thank the cashier and the bagger enough for what had happened. Not just they were honest enough to give me back my million (hehe), I believe the Lord used them through the experience to teach me three valuable realizations, realizations that I know I already knew but somehow I tend to forget along the way.

Have a goal. Without it, your life will just go in circles, looking for something you don’t know what and wandering around wondering why.
Don’t loose focus. Just pick-up what you need, extras will just cost you more.
Never pout. Grumble and you’ll just fail to see God’s blessings. God blessed you, is blessing you and will still bless you, don’t be so stupid to miss it just because you’re thinking there’s none.
And the greatest realization of all; if you’re bored, do something else and don’t even think about going to the grocery.
Live, laugh and loveoutloud!
